calling to israel
Israel is a mid east country of Asia and a land of origin of important religions of the world. To make calls to Israel, the basic thing required for the caller is the location of the caller and the types of phone connection. This can be either main landlines or cellular connections. Thus, depending on these locations one can make a phone call to Israel.
Responding to the rising consumer demand in the telecommunication market in Israel, The Ministry of Communications added the seventh digit to all the cell phone numbers in 2004. The cellular provider is the basis for deciding the seventh digit. One must always dial 0 before the cellular prefix or the city code, when calling to a phone in Israel. The proper format for calling and cellular prefixes is decided by the provider in following sequence:
Pelephone: 050-***-****
PalTel (Palestinian telcom): 059-***-****
Cellcom: 052-***-****
Mirs: 057-***-****
Orange: 054-***-****
However while receiving calls from abroad the pattern changes. The zero put before the code should be excluded. Add 011-972 before each phone number classified according to their cell phone provider and make the calls accordingly. Regarding the calls to be made to the main phone lines or landlines the number should be followed by 011-972-* which represents the city code.
Firstly, dial 00, followed by the country dialing code, the area code and the local number. Whereas, while dialing with the phone card there will be an instruction card that will instruct the caller to dial the specific code starting with the country codes. These codes, referred to as access codes will vary depending upon the company used. Some access codes of the company are:
